           The Round Table Conference
    The Round Table Conference held in Den Haag, Netherlands from August 23 to November 2, 1949 and there were three high-level meetings between the Netherlands and Indonesia, namely the Linggarjati Agreement (1947), the Renville Agreement (1948), and the Roem-Royen Agreement (1949). The round table conference was held to resolve issues in previous agreements including the issue of the establishment of the United States of Indonesia. The Round Table Conference or commonly called KMB is a meeting held between representatives of two countries (Indonesia and the Netherlands). 
This event resulted in several agreements between the two parties. Here are some of the results of the agreement:
1. RIS (Republic of the United States of Indonesia) and the Netherlands are members of the Indonesian-Dutch Union. In the union, Indonesia and the Netherlands will work together, and have an equal position. 
2. The West Irian issue will be discussed and resolved a year after the recognition of sovereignty 
3. Indonesia will return all Dutch property, and pay all debts of the Dutch East Indies before 1949 
4. Dutch warships to be towed from Indonesia, with a note that some corvettes (small warships) will be handed over to RIS

The implementation of the Round Table Conference agreement established Ir Sukarno as the president-elect of RIS and was inaugurated on December 17, 1949. Then, on December 20, President Sukarno formed the RIS cabinet with Mohammad Hatta as his minister.

The handover of sovereignty by the Netherlands to Indonesia was carried out by Prime Minister Willem Drees to Prime Minister Mohammad Hatta on December 27, 1949 in The Hague. The text of sovereignty was signed by Queen Juliana and Minister AMJA Sassen.

Then, the handover of sovereignty was also carried out in Jakarta by the High Representative of the crown of the Kingdom of the Netherlands AHJ Lovink to Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX on December 27, 1949.
     Ahmad Mansyur in historical fire 2 (2016:280), summarized the results of the KMB into three points, namely: 
The handover of sovereignty from the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the RIS will be carried out on December 27, 1949. APRIS (RIS War Force) was approved as the only arts organization that RIS owned. Power related to the West Irian region will be discussed again one year after the KMB.8
